Yes, you can use your benefit payment as you see fit. Use it to help cover your household bills, medical insurance deductibles, and copayments.

Payments will be paid directly to you, not to the doctors, hospitals or other health care providers. You will receive a check, payable to you.

No. This supplemental Insurance will be effective on the date of your coverage as long as you are actively at work. There are no waiting periods to satisfy.

Yes. Once all required information is received, claims are generally processed within 10 business days. Only one claim form is needed per accident and every claim is reviewed by a claims professional.

The lodging benefit is not available in all states. It provides a benefit for a companion accompanying a covered insured while hospitalized, provided that lodging is at least 50 miles from insured's primary residence.

Coverage is guaranteed provided (1) the employee is actively at work and (2) dependents to be covered are not subject to medical restrictions as set forth on the enrollment form and in the Certificate. Some states require the insured to have medical coverage. Additional restrictions apply to dependents serving in the armed forces or living overseas.

Eligibility for portability through the Continuation of Insurance with Premium Payment provision may be subject to certain eligibility requirements and limitations. For more information, contact your MetLife representative.
